After becoming a mother, the capacity for growth and change of the body resulted in new explorations of contemporary figurative watercolour paintings in her series of 2D works on paper. By combining imagery of lush Nova Scotian landscapes with the materiality of watercolour paint - thin, thick, textural, and abstracted watermarks are contained within gestures of the human form to convey a collage of elements relating to nature and embodiment in subtle and spacious compositions.
